Biraghi to deliver high quality Injection Moulding
Technology to our clients. This world-class product line
is one of Italy's largest manufacturers of injection moulding machines. It was established
in 1962 to construct vertical presses for processing thermo
sets and rubber. In 1969 BM Biraghi extended its product
range to produce injection machines.

and also to the systematic experimentation made by specialized
teams, all working inside the company. This has provided

SINTESI GLOBAL PRODUCT LINE
Sintesi Global Project is based on the concept of
modularity, which enables the construction of special
machines using standard components which are interchangeable
with each other, This allows us to deliverhigh
performance machines in very short time, and at
the right price. Particular attention has been given to
energy saving, ease of use, reliability and performance.
This high level of engineering has been awarded the Golden
Compass award, an international design prize.
The Sintesi line of machines is made of 16 models ranging
from 280 to 1100 tons.
The Sintesi line from
280 to 580 tons has
been devised to be "special", but it is produced as
standard. As this revolutionary engineering concept has characterized
the Sintesi line from the beginning, the experience applied
to the new generation allows for the tailoring of standard machines
capable of being transformed into working environments, as well
as being dedicated to specific applications.

This model
is a further addition to the wide range of the Sintesi Global
Project line of machines with a double toggle clamp mechanism
retaining the standard of modularity and flexibility with features
that include the following.
The 800
to 1100 HB model machines are equipped with a hydro-mechanical locking system with fast approach
cylinders and large ejection tables. With the locking force
applied over 4 points, the mould is ensured a perfect alignment.
The advantage of this system is that the locking force is equally
distributed to the moving platen thus avoiding flexing. This
ensures maximum precision of the mouldings and minimum wears
on the mould and the machine itself and provides the following
benefits.

These
plants must operate in a continuous cycle and they must be reliable.
This need has been satisfied by a specific project focused on
the material to be processed. Sintesi PET machines present features
that can be compared to normal injection machines. The PET machines
have been equipped with a plasticizing unit called
"shooting-pot" which is at the heart of the transforming
process. The plasticizing, compacting, injection
and post-pressure phases are all realized with separate elements.
Maximum repeatability is guaranteed and constant quality is
achieved. The consequent advantages are:

The transfer-screw
system is the result of lengthy research in order to
avoid some of the negative aspects of the plunger screw
when materials or special applications require greater precision
and moulding consistency. The structural difference between
plunger-screw and transfer-screw is that the plasticizing phase
and the injection phase are carried out by separate elements
in this latter case. With Transvit technology every kind of
thermosetting resin may be processed.
The screw-transfer
system ensures that no material is lost within the plasticizing
barrel and requires lower moulding pressures. In this way, screw
and mould wear are minimized along with the stresses within
the moulded parts, so that low tolerances, dimensional stability
and the absence of deformation are guaranteed.

TWIN
Sintesi Global Project's
characteristics of modularity and flexibility have been fully
realized with the TWIN version - one of the special applications
of the Sintesi line.
The coupling of differently oriented injection units allows
the moulding of multi-colored
parts both with the technique of using a rotating
mould and simultaneous injection of the colors.
There is a wide range of injection units that can
be placed in many different ways so that in most cases, the machine
is used as a standard for injection moulding. Upon request, there
is the possibility to fit the machine with a double ejector with
fast connection for the changeover to a "single" mode.
The large distance between the tie-bars allows the use of large
rotating tables.
